Everett was born 14 March 1878 in Mahoning Township, PA. He was living there with his parents and siblings at the time of the 1880 Census.
By the 1900 Census Everett had moved to St. Marys County, MD where he and his father Amos lived on a farm owned by his brother Sidney.
By the 1910 Census he was married, lived in a rented home in Baltimore City, MD with his wife and three children, and worked as a broom manufacturer. Although he was 40 at the time, in 1918 Everett registered for the World War Draft.
At the time of the 1920 Census Everett lived with his wife Carrie, children and mother-in-law in a rural area next to his brother Amos on his farm in Anne Arundel County, MD. The 1930 Census indicated that Everett and his family continued to live next door to brother Amos. Everett was now Secretary of the broom manufacturing company.
